Stolen!

omg
I stoles this from Nomi :)

1. List ten random things you love
2. List ten random things you hate
3. Tag ten people

Like-
1. Let's start with the obvious - Malcolm <3
2. Kittens and cats! Especially Leeloo and Gizmo, mah babies! :)
3. Waking up to nice weather, like today. Bad non-photographic weather makes me want to skip the day.
4. Taking photomagraphs of peeplez *pokes friends*
5. Spending money on shiny things that I usually can't afford lol
6. My new laptop, for instance :p
7. The thought of becoming my own business for the right reasons, not to make a ton of money.
8. Meeting up with friends and chatting about random nonsense
9. Reading!
10. Playing games that let me blow stuff up or shoot zombies.

Hate-
1. Those who are cruel to others and animals.
2. RnB music, plus hip-hop. Just not my thing.
3. Not having enough money to start my business properly.
4. Obsessive EXTREME fanboy and fangirlism, console wars etc - If I act like any of those, please let me know about it so I can self-destruct.
5. Footballers who get £100,000 a week! I'd be quite happy with that for about 20 years!
6. When people think that games turn you into some rabid maniac with a fetish for eating faces.
7. The days when I feel like I can't possibly run a business and should just get a normal job to remedy the uncertainty.
8. Doing the dishes :(
9. Painting the walls! It takes so long and its so boring after about 10 mins.
10. People who try to force their opinions on religion saying "It's alright if you don't believe, you are just gonna go to hell and burn forever after your meaningless life."

I tag *you*, *you* , ummm...*you*  and *you* ..... let's see, *you* , *you*.... oh just everyone, I can't pick favourites!

In ze other news, I have a wedding to shoot tomorrow, and I'm really excited about it ^_^ If anyone wants to see some shots of my last wedding, go to www.kirstylegg.com/lizroyadamson/index.html

I'm feeling very frustrated at the lack of options available to me for funding for my business. Maybe I just want things to happen too fast. I want to have a studio sooner than later, but for that I'd need about £8000 all together. Some days I think I should get a job in a call centre or something just to take away the worrying about how I'm going to pay everything back, but I know I'm so close to doing this... All the response from my market research has shown that I've had the right idea about things and what people want and expect. It's very annoying when you are so close to finally getting where you want to be, but can't because of the money. I can't get a bank loan for the simple reason I don't have ID like a passport or driver's license, but those cost money to get....

Anyway, enough brooding. I hope everyone is well :) x

doo dee doooo...

red me

Well well well… My EeePC is currently sitting in its box, back at Currys. They are a neat idea in theory, but due to mine breaking twice in 3 weeks, I decided that it isn’t robust enough. With Malcolm’s assistance, we decided to go for a proper laptop, although one that is specifically nice and smallish, plus light enough for me to carry around. I plumped for this one - HP Pavilion DV2180EA

Now the EeePC wasn’t awful, it just needs to have a few more things ironed out, and to appear less like a toy. I daresay that in the next version it will be better, but at the end of the day I’m going for practicality - if the EeePC breaks so easily, its not very practical. Also you cannot insure it from Currys because it’s under £300, thankfully I was still within my 28 days to return the EeePC, otherwise I would have had to send it off to the manufacturer, which can take weeks…

So I’m currently on the laptop now, and I’m very impressed with it. Also, as my desktop PC continues its descent into madness and random blue-screening, its probably a good idea to have a powerful enough laptop to do all my stuff on if need be.

Businessy things are going well, got a clearer idea of what I’m doing and why. I’m hoping to get my business plan done soon, but to finish it I need to do market research. If anyone would be kind enough to nip on over to

I’m also open to taking photos at this years Abertay Graduation. I will be there anyway, and I’m not sure about setting up an area for photos in the Caird Hall itself, but I will definitely be outside it willing to take photos of anyone and their families, so if you know anyone graduating this year, pass the message on!

Oh, one last thing - if anyone could nip over to
www.kirstylegg.com/fullform.php and fill out the survey, it would help me enormously with Market Research for my business - also there is the chance to win 15% off your next photoshoot! I’m not looking for people to dish the dirt on other photographers or anything, I just want to find out what is expected in terms of service etc, so even if you have been to a photographer, or you have someone in your family who does it and you never want to leave them, that’s fine! It’s great to hear about what makes a good experience, rather than a bad one, and you don’t have to enter the prize draw if you don’t want to.

Think thats about everything... Well done to everyone who graducated! ^_^
