Today has been a good day - I found a long-lost hat. It's not even that special, it's just I thought it was lost forever and I finded it!

Also, Leeloo loves snow:



She likes to stare at it, shout at it, paw at it and swish her tail a lot the whole time :)

Well Malc basically said it all with his post, I don't wanna re-say the same things :) Needless to say, we had a good time with tons of awesome food, and returned with large bags full of presents. I was actually able to buy not bad presents for my family this year, and it was a great feeling being able to spend a bit of money on them getting them stuff they could actually use.

It was kinda weird spending my first Xmas without my family, but I was glad to be with Malc and had a good time with his family, who always spoil me.

Leeloo went to my Auntie's house, which I don't think she enjoyed as she spent most of the time hidden behind the sofas :( It's a shame cause my aunt loves cats and tried her very best with her, I just think Leeloo was too freaked out in a new place without us :( She was very happy to have us back though, and creeped out from behind Kate's sofa as soon as she seen our faces! It was very cute, and as soon as she got back to the flat, she was running around all happy and crazy.

My parent's came to pick us up yesterday afternoon, so we packed up all of our presents, squeezed them into the car and came home. Mum told me some awesome news, which was that while dropping my cousin Jodie off at my Gran's house, she went in to speak to Gran and they basically patched things up. My mum hasn't spoken to my gran in about 5 years if you'll remember, and I was happy to hear that for once they both laid it aside for Xmas. Apparently gran was very overwhelmed and got quite upset, so hopefully that means she's realised the mistakes of the past. It's funny because over Xmas I was thinking a lot about how most of my family don't speak to each other any more, which makes Xmas a bit sad because it's usually just me, mum, dad and Kev instead of the big old family gathering we used to have. Hopefully we will all be able to put the past behind us and be a family again at some point.

Our flat security door broke about 2 weeks ago, and I arranged to get it fixed again by my mum's friend which was good as he managed to get it done the day before Xmas eve, but he also wanted the £100 up front, which meant I had to pay it out of my Xmas money. Malc kindly re-imbursed me half though, and I'll get everyone's share from the other flats back, it will just take time :)

I think I'll go prod Malcolm now, we don't have much in the flat for eating and I want breakfast, so early morning trip to Tescos it is :p

Oh yeah, Malc bought a PS3, which I don't really have an issue with because it's his money and he needs to treat himself to something every once in a while :)

Also oh yeah, I bought myself DDR for the Xbox. Fuck yeah! I might actually film my first attempt at DDR in a very long time. Back to easy mode we gooooooooo!

We are still wanting to have people's over at New Year. I've asked a few people, but so far only Rob is confirmed! Come on peoples, we will have booze, chocs and potentially waffles plus DDR, plus a GIANT XMAS CRACKER FILLED WITH 40 CHOCOLATES!! HOW MUCH MORE AWESOME DO YOU FREAKING WANT?!?!

So yeah, Merry Christmas everyone, especially you Jenny, we have stuff for you, we are just too crap and lazy to have sent it before Xmas :(

Well things are going pretty well recently :)

Work is going fine, I'd still not rather work in GAME for a living however the people are nice, the job is good and its money. In the midst of changing a lot of studio things just now, so need to wait and see how its going to go before I update on that.

I do have a slice of exhibition coming up, its at The Workshop on the Hilltown at 7pm on February 27th. Nothing too exciting, just about 6-8 images of mine on display, but come along if you are interested in local artists and musicians etc.

I started my online photography course, got the pack through and it looks like its going to be very useful! Already done the first set of exercises, just need to finish off assignment one and send it off, then wait for my tutor feedback :) I'm determined to finish it and get that HND-equivalent diploma! :D

Flat life is still going very very good :) love just chilling out with Malc and Leeloo in the evenings. Leeloo is a gem, such a good little cat! She snuggles up to us at night and everything. *must take a pic of where she sleeps!* It's hard to believe we have only had her for just over a week, she has settled in so well.

As Malcolm mentioned, we got Devil May Cry 4, which is brilliant. Yes the cutscenes are long and dramatic, but I like it, dammit! >_<

Not much else to report really :)

So coursework is done, which leaves me with an incredible feeling of freedom. Not that i hate what i do, i'm just abysmally bad at getting it done on time...

I am working in Currys in the city centre over xmas as a cashier, which is going okay. They stuck me on tills after 2 hours of health and safety videos that were made in the 80's (seriously, the people that were shoplifting in the videos were pinching megadrive games) but i handled it okay. Its all jazzy touchscreen funky stuff. Everyone there seems nice enough so far, and it's only for a month so thats cool. I get around 20-25 hours a week, but i don't get paid until after new year. I hate to moan and whine about money when i have so many awesome things, but i am skint just now. I get my student loan, travel expenses, and wages in mid-january, so i will be putting off as many xmas presents as i can until then :( I really should stop spending all my money on myself and think ahead...

I am also remaking my website, changing it to a more simple, but better working layout. I'm not using Dreamweaver at all, its all XHTML, JavaScript and PHP tricks i have been learning in class. Already got quite a large chunk done but its not up on teh www yet. I want to put a whole bunch of photos up there, as well as some new jazz.

My poor kitty has been to the vets 6 times in the past week because he ate a bit of plastic carrier bag, then coughed it all up, but he wasn't right afterwards. since then he has been coughing a lot, and not as playful and stuff, and tomorrow the vet is putting him under anaesthetic (sp?) and having a look at his throat. They think that a bit of plastic bag may be stuck between his nose and throat. Hopefully he will be okay and its not a problem in his chest... :S He has been at the vets for 2 nights in a row now and i miss him :(

anyway i guess its bedtime.

Oh and Malcolm is awesome. Lots of awesome.

I AM SO FREAKING SICK OF MYSELF LATELY!

I'm gonna pull my finger outta my ass and get some freaking coursework done instead of just sitting around thinking about it >_<

Okay so i just went for a shower, and when i came back, my laptop screen had rotated by 180 degrees. I can only suspect that my cat took a wander across my keyboard, and unintentionally rotated my screen. Recent cat habits have been - to hide in the drawer in my bed, to stare at the fish all day, occassionally taking pounces at them and scaring them to death, hiding under the kitchen table and attacking anyone who goes by, although in a playful manner, doing huge jumps around the living room at apparently nothing at all, poking his head through the blinds and getting stuck, sitting on my keyboard when i play Wow and lying right beside me on the bed, watching the TV while i play DMC, then getting bored and lying on my back instead. I swear, hes mental.

COURSEWORK COURSEWORK COURSEWORK says my brain, all day long. Now i just need to make my fingers follow the same pattern and things will be okay.
