I bought a sketchbook and a couple of sketchy-pens. This means I might actually draw something, but the most likely outcome is that I will scribble in it for about 15 seconds then realise I suck at drawing or can't come up with an idea, so I will go do something else....
I really want to make a comic, even though I've been saying it for years and never come up with a good enough story. I think if I ever did come up with a decent enough plot line, it would be fun to take photos of characters/backgrounds as reference for drawing, especially the things I'm crap at making up, like background scenes and detail in clothes, and action things. I think I should stop referencing everyone else's art and reference real life instead. I want proper characters that have as many faults as they have qualities, and suck as much as they kick ass. Have them do stuff that is meaningful in terms of the story, while doing stuff which means nothing at all...
Oh well, here goes my 15 seconds of scribbles! \o/
Also my xmas present from Malc is full of win - Photoshop Elements 7!
PS - New couchness:

Okay, I haven't used pastels for about 5 years, (since Art at college and even then I was pretty poor) and I haven't drawn anything for months and months, so don't laugh at my first attempt!

^__^; I'm sure a 10-year-old could do better! I might try a black and white one next time, since I bought greytone pastels as well as colour. It's good fun, even if a bit messy, especially when your cat decides she LOVES pastels so much she tries to run off with them! She's sat on this a load of times too, surprised there aren't cat paw-prints everywhere.

So I'm really in the mood for drawing again, I haven't drawn for months and months and I'd like to get back in to it. I have no idea what to draw, I'd love to do a comic but how many times have I said that one!! I think the problem is getting the characters and their traits down properly...
Plus being able to draw might help... :p
My hair is red again, has been for a while but I refreshed it today. Hands up if you wanna see?!
